Responsible AI

How we use AI — fairly and honestly

JumpToJob uses AI to give you interview practice feedback. That's a sensitive job — careers are personal, and bad AI feedback can hurt real people. Here is exactly how ours works, and the lines it does not cross.

Feedback on job-relevant communication only

When our AI evaluates your answers, it looks at things that matter in any interview: clarity, structure, relevance to the question, technical depth, and use of evidence (like the STAR method). It does not evaluate how you sound — your accent, speaking pace, tone of voice, or vocabulary size are not part of your score.

No judgments on who you are

Our AI never scores or comments on protected characteristics — accent, appearance, gender, race, age, nationality, or personality stereotypes. We do not attempt to infer them, and we do not allow them into evaluation prompts.

“Confidence” means answer content, not your personality

The confidence score reflects how strongly your answers are supported — concrete examples, specifics, and follow-through under probing questions. It is not a claim about your “true confidence”, your personality, or your employability. Two people can give the same answer with different speaking styles and get the same score.

You control what others see

Your interviews and scores are private to you by default. Employers can only see a profile if you explicitly turn on sharing in your settings — and you can turn it off at any time. We never sell candidate data.

We state the limits of AI feedback

AI evaluation is useful practice feedback, not a scientific or psychometric assessment. It does not predict hiring outcomes, and it should never be the only input to a hiring decision. Our Readiness Score helps you see where to practice — that's all it claims to do.

Transparent methodology

Exactly what each score measures, and how the Readiness Score is composed, is published for anyone to read — see How Scoring Works. If we change the method, that page changes with it.
