Java interview practice

Practice Java interview questions covering core Java, multithreading, collections, and JVM internals. Practice with an AI interviewer that scores clarity, depth, and answer structure — and tells you exactly what to fix.

Java questions to practice saying out loud

Reading answers isn’t practice. Use these as your warm-up, then run a scored interview and hear yourself answer them.

What is the JVM memory model?

JVM memory is divided into: Heap (objects), Stack (method frames), Method Area (class metadata), PC Register (current instruction), and Native Method Stack. Heap is further divided into Young and Old generations for GC.

Explain the Java Collections Framework hierarchy.

Collection → List (ArrayList, LinkedList), Set (HashSet, TreeSet), Queue (PriorityQueue, LinkedList). Map → HashMap, TreeMap, LinkedHashMap. Each has specific use cases based on ordering, performance, and thread safety needs.
